The Story of the Boy and the StarfishA young boy was walking down a beach covered with starfish that had been washed ashore. As he walked along the beach, the boy picked up the starfish and tossed them back into the surf. An old man came along and asked the boy what he was doing. "I'm saving starfish," said the boy. "There are thousands of starfish stranded on the shore," said the old man. "What difference can one little boy make?" "To the starfish who gets back to the ocean, it makes a big difference," the boy said. And the boy continued down the beach, tossing starfish back into the surf.
