Starfish Hope helps adults, children, and families in need.

Some of Starfish Hope’s outreaches include:

• Distribute new, practical shoes to people living on the streets. The recipients do not have to go anywhere for them. They do not need to apply for them. There are no strings attached of any kind. Starfish Hope drives the streets and finds homeless people. If their shoes look like they need replacing (which most do), Starfish Hope asks them what size they wear. We then give them a new pair of shoes, still in the box, with a pair of new clean socks and wish them good luck. Simple as that.
  
  
• Distribute other new practical items to people living on the streets. We will typically have numerous goods (toiletries, sleeping bags, rain ponchos, care packages, small cash assistance, and other items to help people living on the streets be more comfortable. We show them what we have, and let them pick what they need. They pick what they need for that day, we give it to them, and wish them good luck. No strings of any kind are attached.
  
  
• Provide items to children in need. If a child lacks proper school supplies, decent clothes, or other items that will help that child, Starfish Hope will provide that child with the item(s).

Starfish Hope is direct, hands on, help for those in need: be it homeless, children, poor families, or any of the other endless areas of need when we open our eyes to what is around us.

We are a small organization that is not trying to change the world. We are only trying to do one small bit of good at a time with what we have to work with. Our hope is that maybe one act of kindness to another human being in need will be a catalyst for positive change in that person’s life.
